Germany is close to ratify the Unitary Patent Agreement and Unitary Court Agreement. The United Kingdom has started the ratification process. Agreements require that 13 countries ratify the agreement, including France, the United Kingdom and Germany.

Denmark will be a new member of the Hague Agreement of International Designs since 13th April 2016. The scope of protection does not cover either Greenland or Faroe Islands. Denmark is also included in the Communitarian Designs as a European Union state, and Communitarian Designs can also be designated under the Hague Agreement.
